2nd Shift Supervisor – Manufacturing Operations

Tarter Tube is looking for a hands-on, people-first manufacturing leader to take ownership of our 2nd shift operations . This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving production performance, maintaining safety excellence, and building a strong, accountable team culture during evening operations.

What You’ll Own on 2nd Shift

As the 2nd Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, strong team engagement, and consistent production output during evening hours.

You will:

• Lead and motivate a production team to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Manage shift workflow, staffing, and task assignments to maintain operational flow.
• Monitor production metrics and respond quickly to performance gaps.
• Provide real-time coaching, training, and leadership presence on the floor.
• Drive accountability and reinforce a strong safety culture during shift operations.
• Partner with leadership to address production challenges and implement improvements.
• Maintain accurate reporting on production results, attendance, and incidents.
• Ensure strong communication and handoff alignment between shifts.

Your leadership will directly impact shift performance, employee morale, and overall plant productivity.

What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proven ability to lead teams during off-shift or non-traditional hours.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and compliance expectations.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and production systems.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Management, or related field.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Formal leadership or supervisory training certifications.
• Experience managing shift operations and production accountability.
