Raytheon has an opportunity for an energetic and motivated Safety professional to support our ergonomics programs within the Environment, Health & Safety department at the Tucson, Arizona site.

The successful candidate will have a primary role to monitor, administer, evaluate, and coordinate the sites ergonomic programs.

This position is an 100% onsite role.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain and improve ergonomics programs to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EH&S requirements.
• Work with cross functional teams to identify opportunities to develop and implement proactive strategies to prevent ergonomic injuries.
• Develop and delivers ergonomics related training and presentations to promote awareness and compliance.
• Support and implement site injury reduction and ergonomic goals and initiatives.
• Answer employee compliance questions/concerns and influence safe behaviors.
• Conduct first aid and OSHA injury investigations and root cause analysis. Identify corrective actions and track to completion.
• Interpret and apply OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, IFC, IBC and other applicable regulations and standards.
• Manage and provide support to other site EH&S program areas, as needed.
• Analysis of leading and lagging safety performance indicators for trends to drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with individuals and teams across the business.
• Effectively organize, prioritize, and address multiple, simultaneous projects or tasks.

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Experience in ergonomics.
• 5 years of applicable experience
• Excellent communications skills and previous experience developing and providing training.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with preparation and delivery of presentations.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. (ability to obtain temporary clearance before starting maybe required)
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in providing and/or developing EHS training.
• Ability to obtain Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP), Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), or equivalent certification within 2 years.
• Flexibility to accept additional assignments, campaigns and rotations to other EH&S areas.
• Experience with EHS project or program management.
• Active Secret level or higher security clearance

Required Education:

• Typically requires Bachelors Degree in EH&S or other applicable major.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
