Job Description

Blue Recruitment Personnel is looking for a skilled Heavy Haulage Driver in the Bredbury area to transport heavy, wide, and over-length loads safely and professionally.

The Role:

This role involves working with plant machinery, flats, step frames, and low loaders, with weights hauled ranging from 44t to 250t.

You will need to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high standard of compliance and professionalism at all times.

K ey Responsibilities:

• Carry out heavy haulage movements involving over-length, over-width, and specialist loads.

• Operate Class 1 C+E vehicles safely and efficiently.

• Transport plant machinery using flats, step frames, and low loaders.

• Work from movement orders where required.

• Complete all paperwork and delivery documentation accurately.

• Maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

• Communicate effectively with customers, site teams, and transport planners.

• Stay flexible for weekday, overnight, and occasional weekend work.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence.

• Class 1 C+E licence.

• Proven experience in a similar heavy haulage role.

• Experience with heavy, over-length, and over-width loads.

• Experience with plant machinery transport.

• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of movement orders and long/wide loads is highly desirable.

• ALLMI certification to drive a 150T/M HIAB wagon would be extremely beneficial.

• A strong, professional attitude and a commitment to safety.

Suitable Experience:

Candidates with backgrounds as a Multi Drop Driver, Class 2 Driver, Multi Drop HGV Driver, HGV Class 1 Driver, HGV Class 2 Driver, Delivery Driver, Truck Driver, or similar heavy transport roles may also be considered.
