Jr. Data Analytics Engineer – QTechUS (W2, Ashburn, VA)

Location: Ashburn, VA (Hybrid - 2 days/week onsite) | Type: W2 Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and deployment of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using business intelligence (BI) tools
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to support dimensional models including fact and dimension tables (star/snowflake schemas)
• Write and maintain SQL queries within Oracle and Databricks environments to extract and prepare data
• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions
• Monitor and improve performance of reports and underlying queries
• Support AWS services (S3, EMR, Redshift, Glue) for cloud-based reporting
• Manage reporting assets including documentation, version control, and scheduled refreshes

Required Qualifications & Skills

• US Citizen with DoD Top Secret, DHS EOD, CBP Full BI, IT-I clearance or current SSBI
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field
• 1-3 years hands-on SQL programming experience - REQUIRED
• 1-3 years experience with major BI platform (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik) - HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Experience with data analysis and interpreting results
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling (star vs snowflake schemas)
• Self-motivated with willingness to learn new technologies
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills

• 1-3 years in dedicated reporting, BI, or data analytics role
• Databricks experience (notebooks, SQL Warehouses)
• AWS familiarity (S3, IAM) or AWS certification
• Python proficiency (Pandas, Pyspark) for data manipulation
