Job Description
We are seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. In this role, you will be the 'face' of our practice, responsible for creating a welcoming environment while managing the vital administrative tasks that keep our clinic running. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of technical proficiency and the empathy required to support patients navigating their healthcare journey
salary: $20 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities
Patient Coordination - Greeting & Check-in: Welcoming patients, verifying identity, and updating personal or insurance information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Scheduling: Managing complex appointment calendars for multiple providers, handling cancellations, and making reminder calls.
- Check-out: Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing patients with necessary referral paperwork or post-visit instructions.
Administrative & Financial - Insurance Verification: Confirming coverage and obtaining necessary prior authorizations before the patient sees a provider.
- Payment Collection: Processing co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service.
- Records Management: Maintaining patient files with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure data privacy and security.
- Phone Management: Triaging incoming calls to determine urgency and directing them to the appropriate clinical staff.
