As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Officer in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location where you will conduct routine patrols remain visible to help deter security-related incidents and support access awareness throughout the property. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that is agile reliable innovative and guided by integrity and a people-first culture.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures following client policies and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location including sales floor areas entry points parking areas and perimeter spaces as assigned.
• Monitor for unusual activity policy violations and/or potential hazards to help to deter theft trespassing and other unwanted behavior within the location.
• Assist with access control crowd flow and closing or opening procedures while maintaining a professional presence and providing assistance to visitors customers and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state county or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
