Job Description:

The client is seeking experienced ServiceNow Developers to support critical IT/IS initiatives through ongoing platform operations, sustainment, and enhancements. This role focuses on maintaining the stability, security, compliance, and operational readiness of the ServiceNow platform in a federal environment.

The ServiceNow Developer will collaborate closely with platform leads, fulfillment teams, audit/compliance stakeholders, and application owners to ensure the platform operates reliably and in alignment with federal and enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day to day operational sustainment, including break/fix, troubleshooting, defect resolution, monitoring, and small enhancements
  • Configure and maintain ServiceNow components such as:
    • Business Rules
    • Script Includes
    • Client Scripts
    • UI Policies
    • Catalog Items
    • Flows and IntegrationHub actions
  • Support ITSM, HRSD, and identity related workflows (UAM/PAM catalog items and fulfillment flows)
  • Ensure all development and changes comply with AFS IT change management and audit requirements
  • Monitor and support integrations with internal and external systems, including error handling and stability
  • Assist with platform upgrades, patching, plugin updates, and regression testing
  • Maintain data quality, access controls, and compliance with federal security and privacy standards
  • Improve workflows, SLAs, notifications, and routing logic to enhance user and fulfillment experience
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational support materials
  • Support audit, compliance, and reporting requirements related to ServiceNow operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Required
  • ServiceNow CIS Application Developer Required
  • Advanced experience with ServiceNow development (ITSM, Catalog, Workflow, Scripting)
  • Advanced troubleshooting and operational sustainment experience
  • Strong JavaScript / Glide API and ServiceNow scripting expertise
  • Integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs or IntegrationHub
  • Understanding of change management and audit compliant development processes
  • Experience with data validation, imports, and template management
  • Knowledge of fulfillment, routing, and operational workflows (ITSM, UAM/PAM, HRSD)

Education:

Bachelor's degree required
